Does any one know where to get a honda pal belt?

The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

Does any one know where to get a honda pal belt?

Post by notme987 »

Hey I've been trying to find a honda pal belt from some where. I can only find one for $70+. Does any one know where to get on for less. Or is there a simalar belt on another scooter that would work?

The honda pal is the honda elite e in usa. So there you go. You can know go find your belt. Remeber the elite e not the elite s, sr or lx.

Greetings:

Hmm, not so sure it's the same transmission. Scroll down to the pics of the Pal Here, and check out that funky 2-part belt cover. Wasn't the Pal equipped with a Variator? If someone could touch the parts, it'd go a long way to assist the introduction of a Spree-compatible variator system.

Remember I use to import the pal from japan. It is the same. Both engine types run the elite e belt. One pal had a variator and one did not. I still have one honda pal but it is tore up from the ground up. And it is not the variator one. See one pal has a longer crankshaft so a variator can fit. And that makes the kickstarter cover wider. but it is the same belt.

The NQ50 and NB50, both have single piece cover. They will take same belt.
Here is a source for much less than what you have found.

http://www.sunrisehonda.com/fiche_secti ... &fveh=3648

BELT, DRIVE 23100-GK8-870 001 $27.78 American Money

My guess would be that the variated version, (available only in Canada, to my knowledge) would be same as the AF05E found on the NB50, SE50 and 1989-1993 SA50.

Something else to be noted about these, because the non-variated models were single reduction rearend, the rotation is counter-clockwise. The variated models were double reduction rearend and rotation is clockwise.
