Sure as the world if I put an old one back in, it will start leaking in a matter of days and then I mount it a third time.

humm, don't know if that would work in an innertube but just thinking about it... don't see why not. If I have any slow leaks, just might give that a try. Sure would be easier than pulling a tube to patch it.

It will work just fine. At the risk of drawing the wrath of the bear...
If the tube is punctured on the rim side the slime may not work well. Slime specifically states that the sealant is not effective for use against "snakebite" type damage to tubes or tires: " SLiME is not guaranteed to seal gashes from glass or metal, bead leaks, sidewall punctures or pinch flats".

slime uses the spinning force to spread around inside a tire, so if it can reach, it will usually seal.

Thought I would post another update on those IRC tires for $13.99 each. I went and checked my speed via radar today and it is doing 33mph on level roads with my 192lb self. That is up from 28 with the stock tires so I'd say that is a very worthwhile upgrade considering the pair of tires shipped only cost me $35. For you lighter riders, my son weighs 165lbs and he gets 34-35mph on the bike. So for under $40, I'd say larger tires are a no brainer if you are looking for a bit more speed.

I just purchased the IRC MB38 80/90-10 tires for $11.94 each for a total shipped cost for 2 for $34.52. These are going on a Elite E with Taz gears and 48mm bbk. Currently running 35mph flat out with my 240 lbs butt on it GPS verified.

wow, that is even cheaper than i got mine for and I thought I had found the great deal. I hope you are liking them, I've had mine on for a while now and they are good tires. Nice grip and the increased size means more top end speed which is nice.

instead of making a new thread thoug i would just ask this here... i have an 83 aero50 what is the biggest tire i could put on the front and rear... i have no fenders on the bike at the moment so rubbing wont be a problem . just wonder what size will fit .
