my carb

still breaking in the bbk i noticed there was oil leaking down the side of crankcase looks like its coming from my carb is there somthing that needs to be adjusted?

What scooter? And no there is no adjustment but more likely an oil line not on tight and leaking which means you are shorting your BBK on oil during break-in.

ITS A 88 ELITE SB50 AND THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM TOLD ME TO MIX OIL IN THE TANK AS WELL AS USING MY OIL PUMP also noticed if i go little over half throttle it seems to slow down does this mean not enough gas or to much i appreciate all the help

OK, the extra oil in the tank means less gas into the engine. My question to the PO would be "Why would Honda build and sell a scooter with an oil pump on the engine that will not do the job?" Hence lose the oil in the tank. Also is the air box on the engine, is the air filter in the air box?

yes airbox and filter are on there and so you dont need all the extra oil in the tank while breaking in

If you want to use some oil in the tank, keep it down to about 70 to1 or 60 to 1. What jet is in the carb? With a bbk you need a bigger main jet than stock. Running lean will also ruin your BBK.

if you go by those little numbers on it stock 1 says 89 the one that came with the bbk says 100
