A tubeless type tire should be run with a tube if used on Spree/Aero/Elite rims. You must convert to Met rims if you intend to run without, or ride at the peril of sudden catastrophic deflation next time you run over a 2x4.
The 3.50 fits the SA50 without issues in front, but the 1.85"-wide rim make it look like a light bulb, thus introducing some steering slop. The 2.15" Met rims are better for anything bigger than 3.00.
Out back, the 3.50s need some case shaving around the muffler bracket bosses to avoid contact at higher speed. It's really not worth it, as the 90/90 fits without such issues. The 90/90 is actually a hair wider, but not as tall as the 3.50. I'd get 90s for both ends if I were starting over.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Thanks Wheelman... I'm just confused as to what the Met wheel is... what do I have on a 95' Honda Elite 50S? I'm assuming the wider wheel? 2.15"... so if I order a 90/90 Pirelli SL 26 for the front and one for the back I will be happy and not have to shave anything correct?

ahh ok... so sa50 wheels are 1.85" and metropolitan (met) wheels are 2.15"
Well I'm looking at my current rear wheel and I have some Cheng Shin's C-917 3.00x10 which are tubeless tires that the dealer had installed a while back... I never had a catastrophic blowout...?

ahh I see the stamping on the lip of my rear wheel 10x1.85... so is that the cool thing to do around here is to buy metropolitan wheels?
