Trivia Question

Post by thadpk »

Anybody know what the original prices for the 84-87 model year sprees were? And how many of each year were manufactured? I am curious. Thanks!

Since I bought a 87 Elite 50 new for $575.00....

At the time I priced all four common Honda's at that time.

87 Spree = $495.00
87 Elite 50 = $575.00
87 Elite 50S= $625.00
87 Aero 50 = $675.00

At least these were the prices at my local Honda in 87.

that price will vary from state to state. plus it will be hard to know how many were sold from state to state. you can search high and low on the internet and the info you get will not be valid. alot of dealers or stores that sold those bikes are long gone and some probably never listed how many was ordered or sold. all I can say is alot of sprees and elite 50 were sold and you can tell by that by just going on craigslist or ebay to see them on there.so the answer to your question is the sold price will vary from $500 to $1500 and as for how many. no one knows.

I agree.... The prices I gave were from Michigan at the time I bought my scooter. There were different prices even from store to store at the time.

For anyone from Michigan.... I bought my Elite 50 at Anderson Honda which I think is called Motorcity Powersports now.

The other Honda dealer I went to was Warren Honda which was more expensive on their prices than what I listed.
