Guess what I found in the pile of moped parts today? An very nice fuel tank to replace my rusty one and a battery box cover. I have seen these things a million times and didn't even realize what I had. I guess I need to go through stuff more often. Funny cause these are the two things I need for my Spree. Had them for a long time and didn't even realize it, only to get my first Spree about two weeks ago and it just happens to need these exact parts. Weird huh?

FYI, the 1984 and '85 cover is different than the 1986 and '87 cover. At least they have different part numbers.

I didn't either until I looked it up for my Spree and it said the cover was only for the 1984 and '85. So I checked and sure enough the 1986 and '87 were different.

couple more. I think my battery is a little to tall, but I got it before I found the cover. Might have to get one of the sealed batteries, they are shorter.

Yes - thanks for the pics. It's an often missing or lost part.

Glove box , petcock cover, baskets and battery cover are parts often looked for.

Your welcome guys for the pics.
Seems the only thing I am missing now is the grommet that goes inbetween the tail light housing and the plastics. It's for the wiring for the rear turn signals. Unless I find some other things that are supposed to be there that are not. I like to have a bike that has all the parts it left the factory with. Like my yellow 1978 Honda Express, it has every single piece that it should have on it. Took me a while to figure out what was supposed to be there, and a bit of time finding all the parts. But now it's complete.

As far as I know there is no grommet for the wiring harness. Mine does not have one and the parts breakdown does not show one either.

Sprees do have a rubber grommet peice that goes in the little square in the taillight housing cause i have them on my two sprees.
