How deep is your money pit?

This was quoted from the "How many scooters do you own" thread.

4 Japan Honda dios worth around 2,000-2700 each.
I bought a house back in 1998 when there were still standards in place like credit checks and proof of income.

The black Dio AF28 has around $5500 into it before I lost count. Price doesn't include shipping from Japan and Europe for a lot of the stuff, and doesn't even begin to take into account what labor would cost.

wheels and tires $550
disk brake setup $370
suspension $550
oem panels $1100
cylinder kit $270
motor carters and crank $450
exhaust $400
transmission upgrades $400
electrical $200
fuel tank and pump $220
frame $300
intake and carburetor system $250
seat $100
gears $170
nuts and bolts $100
bearings and seals $100

No one cares how much you spent on it. On this thread it is about how many and what you have.

I care .....and I thought it was interesting.

It made me feel better about the amount of money I have spent on my scooters :surprise:

I have not ever taken the time to add it up like that. I lost track of my Superman scooter after $1200 or so

So I am wondering how much other people have spent on their scooters.

Have you got a great deal on a scooter? Have you gone overboard on a custom scooter or restore? How deep is your your money pit?

Well, just to contribute, not much...BUT

I got my elite running mint and I love it. So, I'm looking for an extremely clean and low millage, non molested machine to keep that way so I can mod up the one I have now. So, once I find the new one, I can rip this one apart and spend some dough. ..hooked.

Well I traded my Gaming computer worth about $700 for my Honda Elite. Then I have put about $150 into parts so far, just replacing little here and there
