So this the carb/ct manifold, and the gears would do it?

Re: Dio top end question
I am saying that a honda spree is made to go 30MPH not 50 or 60. Just not made for it. Just look at the front forks, small brakes, tires. Any thing can be done so why not make the whole bike safe if you want to go that fast on a Honda Spree. It will take some money, but make it safe or you are going to kill yourself. It just makes more scents to me to get a real bike for this speed. My harley davidson sportster will take 70-80 all day and ask for more but this bike is made for this. My honda spree will go 30mph from neighbors to town all day and make some short turns just for fun it.

Re: Dio top end question
you want the /R kit, which is Corsa. That is the contessa, nowhere near the power of a corsa. you can get steady 50-55mph cruise with good cvt tuning, but go corsa if you want to cruise 60mphSpreeMadness520 wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/POLINI-7 ... arQ5fParts

and then yes, carb, gears and pipe. PG long best bang for buck for top speed

So if your worried about brakes, follow TJamz' example and modify the Elite forks
Like I did

I sure feel a lot safer with em. Looking at the brakes, the Elite brakes look almost double the size of the Spree brakes.

He is 14 years old...... no licence. A modded moped is the best he can hope for.

Re: Dio top end question
Yeah its pretty steep.
I'd still say get a 50mm or bigger bore if you want to cruise at 60.
And with that, then take it to TJamz' and let him work some port magic and you'll be all set!
Plus it'll cost ya circa $150-$200 for a tawaiin kit vs. the $325 for the polini

It just seems like a bore would blow or something. Like they are more of a drag than a top end....Petrock's 1984 Spree wrote:Yeah its pretty steep.

Re: Dio top end question
Either one will do the trick.
Polini will cost more, but would be more reliable.
50mm bore costs less but requires more block work to be reliable.

Block work as in porting? Would that be difficult?
