Carnie wrote:I just rode it again today, my speedometer reads 39 on flat ground. There was a good wind behind me though. Plus I only weigh 155lbs. I plan on running it with a gps here as soon as I find mine. It is all stock, at least I think. I bought it off of a friend for $180 so I dont think he put anything into it since he sold it to me that cheap. On flat ground I do well, especially with wind behind me, but hills kill me. I wish I could figure out how to toss a variator on there without buying a different engine.
I think you are reading into wheelman's post what you want to hear and not what he really said. I do not think he believes the 20% increase in RPM because his experience tells him that it just is not gonna happen especially with just the airbox off and no rejet.Carnie wrote:I have repetitively told you guys that that was just the speedometer, not gps, so get off my back. Thankyou wheelperson. As soon as I find my gps, I will post an update with pics, but being new to the forum, I still haven't figured out how to post pics adequately yet.
Tailwind, lean-running engine, and really good luck - Hey it could happen to anyone! One starry night, with the mercury at -32 F, my girlfriend and I mounted up leaving the local watering hole and headed across the frozen lake. The speedo hit 74 - and that was 2-up. It never happened again, but I swear by all that is Holy it happened that night. -Wheelman-111
