In other words, when you're building a stroker you're replacing almost all of the important parts anyway. With a bore kit you still need a good bottom end.

or if you gonna go ministroke, then the crank and bore condition is not important.but if you want to use a stock crank, then that needs to be in good condition.
Like I said if your gonna build for bore or stroker is your first decision
build for bore then the sym new blocks are your best bet
build for stroker/ministroke then get any complete block you can

I started with a bare block along with the stator, now everything else including the crank and pulleys are all aftermarket now, these blocks are getting scarce by the day.

there's 2 japan dio blocks and 1 usa dio block
of the 2 japan dio block only 1 has a smaller the crank, the better one has a US dio size crank
the difference between US and JAPAN dio's other than the crank size is the way the stator is positioned, the japan kind either one can use rotor kit's the US dio can not, U might be able to machine the stator more on a rotor kit but not sure ,I think rotor kits only go +/- 20 degrees and to use on a US dio you need it to go +/- 30+ degrees, that's why alot of guy' using the taiwan small case half

yeah thats what Ive heard, I guess the japan dio block is way much better because it already has the better case half and already equipped with the better tranny but thats if you can get it. guys like me just buy the US S block and if the want to run the stator they gotta cough up $100 more for the taiwan case half and another $100 or more for the ZX Tranny. Good point
