Go take a nap. stupid old fart.
How would you like to have to go to school and have to tell everyone that a stupid old fart kicked you punk * before his nap?
IF ONLY THAT WOULD EVEN HAVE A CHANCE OF HAPPENING
Just remember three thing.
1) Old age and treachery will out do youth and enthusiasm every time!
2) You will have no warning because this is not a fair fight, it is an * kickin'.
3) You live less than 2 hours from me and I drive by there on a semi regular basis.
Sayeth the sneakie old *.
Gotta catch me to kill me, old man. That's cool, good luck finding me. There's only 1100 kids at my school.

I don't have to catch anyone to kill them. I can shoot close to 800 yards if I have to. But the plan is to kick your punk * and finding you is the least of my problems. You've posted videos of where you live, it doesn't even take brains to find you. But the most you have to worry about is a sore butt. Oh and even with my short memory, I can pay attention long enough to out wait you.

if the motor isn't powerful enough to move it, swap the motor out of the starter. they sell high torque electric motors that would fit right in.
If it don't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway.

The problem is the starter motor is powerful for the engine. Instead of a high torque starter i need a low torque onekillerpancake wrote:if the motor isn't powerful enough to move it, swap the motor out of the starter. they sell high torque electric motors that would fit right in.

You statement makes zero sense. If a low torque starter will work then a high torque will too.Petrock's 1984 Spree wrote:The problem is the starter motor is powerful for the engine. Re: 35cc Honda 4-Stroke= 30mph!
Correct, the one we had on there wipped the engine over extremely fast. However, when the engine fired it did not have enough torque to twist the bendix back to its starting position and died. This happened multiple times.Bear45-70 wrote: You statement makes zero sense. If a low torque starter will work then a high torque will too.
Thats why it has to be a smaller starter, because the force needed to turn the bendix will be lower.

The RPM the starter turns at has nothing whatsoever to do with the torque it makes.Petrock's 1984 Spree wrote:Correct, the one we had on there wipped the engine over extremely fast. Re: 35cc Honda 4-Stroke= 30mph!
Two things on the starter system that didn't work:
1) Not clear that this is a torque issue, or if it's a gearing issue. If it's spinning the motor too fast, that's a gearing issue, not a torque issue
2) You can always torque-limit an electric motor by controlling the voltage... did you try a lower voltage battery?

Re: 35cc Honda 4-Stroke= 30mph!
Long story short we need a new starter motor. It isn't the motor that has the issue, its the bendix attached to it. It does not turn over easy enough for the motor to over power it and twist it when it first starts up. This is why it doesnt work.
It happens when your starter motor is built for ~15-20hp engine and we tried to adapt it to a 1.3 hp engine. If the bendix was free-er spinning i dont think we would have an issue. But the enginneers who made the starter knew the higher torque of the bigger 15-20 hp engines wouldnt have a problem with it. Its difficult to explain most wouldnt understand it unless they turned the bendix to see what im taking about
All and all, if you get a lower torwue starter that has a bendix attached the bendix will be free-er spinning. There is huge difference between the spree bendix and this bendix.
