I love Purple Power. Been using for 10 + years. I buy the big jug and mix it half and half with water in a spray bottle.

They sell it at AutoZone.

Greetings:

Your local motorcycle store might have something called S-100. Spray on, let it sit a while, hose off with a stream of hose water. Don't let it sit trapped on or in anything aluminum too long, it may corrode.

You're going to have to spend a couple of bucks if you want something that works.

You can experiment with the stuff in your house, but sometimes experiments don't work.

Dishwashing liquid is probably the most effective degreaser in your house, as it's made to degrease frying pans and the like (birds after oil spills). If that doesn't work, then you need something more suited to petrolium based greases.

I went to the DG up the st from the house and got a gallon of purple power. I tried the mixture on the label and that was no match for the grease. went to half and half after i got the majority of grease off manually and it cleaned up good. Still took me too long and i am not completely done, it was extremly caked on at least a half inch thick in large sections. The foam behind the panels are completely saturated with old oil O.o Thanks for the suggestions guys, imma search around and find the best stuff for this type of buildup. Imma leave a patch under the bottom of the floorboard to test on :D I want something to spray on, sit for a few minutes then hose off without any scrubbing or rubbing. Since I started this project I have been scrubbing my brains out on this mess.
