I will be bolting it on tomorrow just got done making sure the rear wheel is going to fit. I got the axle bolt off the 87 aero but the first 2 rows of lthreads where squished from pressing the final gear on. Took me about 2 hours to file it done enough to get the bolt started. Put the tire on and wedged it with a wooden handled mallet to keep it from spinning and screwed it on with a breaker bar. It scraped the threads a wee bit but all is well. I was sweating bullets having to shave down my rear shaft. Got the rear rim wire brushed awaiting primer and paint tomorrow, whilst drying I will get the motor bolted up and all the cables run and post some pics of my progress. Don't know if my rear is going to line up either Sprite. in theory it should since I cut the elite mount to match the Spree mount, even measured it with digital calipers.

The spree/dio mount can be made using an old SA50 mount or an SE50 mount.

They are very different, and different amounts need to be shaved from each one. :nerd:

You need to put the axle nut on the shaft, when pressing that gear, to avoid mashing up the threads.

I will remember that next time TrafficJamz, at that time I didnt have the nut for the shaft :P I got it yesterday when I got the rear tire off the 87 aero. If you cut your mount exactly as I did it should be right give or take 0.5mm Sprite. I got the kickstart housing in today from stopsign31 super swell guy I might add. I gotta figure out how I am going to mount the rectifier and the coil. I think I can just zip tie the coil somewhere for now but I have to drive a hole in the grame to screw the rectifier too so it can be grounded. Decided to take a lunch break and post some progress :D Here is what my rear looks like Sprite O.o If you notice in one of my pics the muffler is not bolted behind the flywheel because the header pipe was bent bad when I got it and I cant seen to get it bent back to fit, I am either going to drill new holes in the bracket or run some wire through it and tie it on for now hahahhaha as long as I dont have a wreck my head should hold it :D Its really * me off I have bent that pipe every which way and I just cant get it right

I had to take a break this thing is * me off. I changed all the connectors on the harness, made sure everything was hooked up and zip tied. Bent the tab where the regulator used to bolt on and managed to bolt it back there with the ground, zip tied my coil onto the frame, primed the oil pump, shave the tailight housing and hooked it up. Took the battery of the other Spree and hooked it up, turned the switch and the tail light works, hit the brake the light brightens hit the start button "clicl click click click" well *, switched starter relays from my other "click click click" so I took the starter off and jumped it off a battery it took me a while but it got some power to it and spun put it back on "click click click" AND the kickstart doesnt roll back it just stays at the bottom and is loose in the housing O.o

took the kick cover off to check and the bolt on the drive face had come loose, no wonder my kickstart would return lol, still no luck with the starter but if i can get the kick working I should be able to crank her up. also I figure I should make a gasket that way its not metal to metal I am sure the gasket is meant for something :P

Yea I know Trafficjamz but I have plenty of gasket material and I figured the gasket would give the kick castle a bit more room to retract and I am missing one of the dowel pins :D Got the kickstart working fine the problem was the drive pully bolt got that torqued down. I put some gas in the spark plug hole and got a sputter and smoke out of her then I got tired of kicking. I will take the starter back off tomorrow and see what the problem is. Gotta take my pipe back off and bend it some more I have a leak around the head thats where the puff of smoke came from. Thanks for the suggestion swimmingfree but I already know how to take a starter apart and fix it. If anything the hot wire is loose inside. If its bad hopefully I can take the guts out of the Spree starter and put them in the other case. It looks like an aftermarket starter because it doesnt have a label on it. btw swimmingfree I should have gotten that front brake cable from you after all....the elite cable is way too long :( I cant remember if I told you but I found that header gasket for you. Imma work on fixing this scooter trunk tonight, or at least get it cleaned up :D got a headlight lens to glue onto the metal where mine was broken out gonna fix that too.

with all the work you just did on that things !!!! and just about had all the bolts out of it and your scare of the starer motor ..
gas motor are harder then most starter motor . here a spree one the shaft is press in so you have to bang it out but before you do rape rag around it so you don't spend time looking for the spring like i will.. and take lots of pitcher so you can use them to help you put it back together ...if all else fails just put the case back together to fill the hole so you don't get stuff in the hole and have a mess

I just dont like fixing something that isnt broken :P I cut and spliced the main hot and ground wires and put a 2 plug connector on instead of the 5 plug connector that was already on the elite engine. I am thinking I may not be getting a good connection there. The wires are big and I just twisted them together. Will probably put end on then and press into the connector housing today
