sure thing plankton. I didnt heat it up or anything, I did sand it or nothing hahha maybe the old sunburned layer helped bond the paint to the surface. I used the valspar rattler from Lowe's made specifically for plastics. I works pretty good except on days when the humidity is really high, it bubbles up BAD I had to strip one side panel and the engine cover because I tried painting outside in the evening close to the ground and the humidity messed it up bad. the paint stripper I used eat into the plastic of the panel even hahahh at any rate I'll keep you posted. On a side note I won a 2004 kymco zx50 fever exhaust off ebay with the chrome shield still on it
