my friend bought a 139qmb gy6 scooters and it is way faster than my derestricted elite s are they all that fast stock or could it have been modified and what can i do to make mine faster im tired of him just leavin me when we ride

Is his a 50cc or 150cc?

you sure yours is totally derestricted? have 2 buddy's with them both of there's are derestricted and I murder them!! LOL say this all the time because I had a 139qmb for like a month! if it would of been my first scoot (first was a jog) I never would of wanted another one there flipping slow as f!

I am very familiar with the GY6 engine. A true GY6 50cc engine would only go 25-30mph and could barely get out of its own way. Most of the chinese labeled 50cc(GY6) scooters are actaully 70cc+. The chinese do this because like I stated prior the(GY6)50cc is a slug and slugs dont sell. lol

im pretty sure my elite is all derestricted i drilled the exhaust washer opened airbox up jet to 85 wired oil pump open and took the plate of the back of the variator anything i missed keepin my speed down?

also i didn't think a 50cc 4 stroke would be that fast as soon as he just left me behind when we was riding around i figured something had to been do too it by the po he bought it from.

About how much would it cost to make mine do about 55 with good low and mid range power i seen some builds on here with elites talking about speeds of 60-70 i don't really need that much speed especially if it will effect low end power cause thats the only time im ever in front of him off corners and stops.

Depends on what parts you use.

I go 58 mph with a Contessa big bore, aftermarket Variator, and 9:1 gears. I got a Polini bore and variator which jacks the price up but you could do it for a couple hundred if you used other brand parts.

what could i do to go faster with the stock bore it runs fine and i can't justify buying a bbk when the stock runs good with life left or i am stuck unless i do that first

An aftermarket variator will give you more top end, more like 45-50 mph. You could get taller gears, stock bore may or may not be enough to use taller gears.

swimming i never knew how fast it went before or after i derestricted it because the speedo never worked and would a vari from one of them gy6 scooters work better i might be able to get one for free or pretty cheap from a friend of mine and how hard would it be to put a disc brake front from one of them china scooters
