...Just bought another Elite 80 today....'86 with low-low miles....$450....this makes the 4th one and have paid as much as $800 for one with 600 miles....if the one you're looking at runs strong, starts easily, doesn't lose everything on the up-hill, and no leaks...ok...$450 is good price....carbs are prone to vibrate the bolts out in the older models due to shrinking o-rings(my opinion)....tires are $30-$40 each so you'll know....careful not to buy a rusty gas tank...take a mag-lite with you....... :urban:

thats sure a lot of miles. Somebody drove the crap out of it. Just make sure the frame isn't rusted up. The gas tank isn't rusted out, the coolant isn't rusted up. Id do a compression check on it

I think he means it's an Elite 80 with 7000 miles.

Oh, lol. I feel dumb now. That would be a * of a lot of miles. 4 strokes can go longer without work, though. There was a guy going cross country on his ruckus. Just harder when stuff breaks.

Low ball offered $300,he came back with $325,I brought it home.Has a few nicks and scratches,everything works,current title,clean gas tank,no leaks,good rubber,exhaust is a little loud,needs a carb cleaning probably.
