Kymco zx50 opinions

Post by dv/dt »

I was reading the zx trans how-to in the tech section which goes into detail that all of the trans parts can be nabbed from a kymco zx50. It got me curious so i started looking at zx50s and they seem like a nice scoot!

Pros that i can see: zx style trans, speedo that goes way past 35mph, front disc brake, newer look.

cons: its not a honda?

Correct me if i'm wrong but i assume these scoots use an af16 clone? Does it make any sacrifices?

Any input welcome! :coolcruise:

the kymco zx50 is a very nice scooter.

That speedo goes to 60mph and is a direct swap for a honda elite s

Very comfy ride with the larger 12" tires too.

Most af16/af18 engine parts will fit too

The ZX is a little heavier but you won't bottom out like the elite does. I find it more comfortable for my 6' frame and bigger feet.
