Is this a good deal?

The place to discuss rides, accessories, or whatever is tangentially Spree/Elite-related

Is this a good deal?

I found this posting on CL.

The add says its a 2000 Elite. But the pic shows it's perhaps an Elite S which I wasn't aware was made in 2000.

It has 1600 miles and he's asking $800.

It has scratches from a spill.

Is it worth it?

Is this the model that can be modded easily?

Thanks

all depends on your location. and what its worth to you, it can be modded to go fast as long as you want to put the time and money into it. i would say 800.00 isnt to bad. see if you can talk the seller down a little say 725.00-750.00 sometimes cash talks and it does have scratches and has been dropped i assume. make sure everything works, it runs, and has a title. :thumbwink: the elite SR and S sa50 were made from 94-01 and has the AF16. 88-93 sa50 SR and S has the variated AF05.

No $800 is not a "good" deal (unless you live in Hawaii)
You really need to ride these different scoots you are asking about...
also what do you need the scoot to do depending on your size, if you need to ride 2 people, MPH, etc...
and what is your overall budget...
MODs cost $$, so the unmodded scoot will be base + ...

Again, go out and ride some of these scoots to get an idea of how they perform etc...

Ride the modded Kymco (if it's still there) and then go ride this elite (not as aggressively priced as the Kymco so I would ride this one second)...
Size and power are quite different on these two, so you will get good variation for your time. :imo:

and this is a great site for model info (book mark it)
