What are you using for headlight :?:

Well Motormike I am glad you asked that question .
#1 get some plate steel .
#2 use your speedo as a template mark bolt holes .
#3 Drill holes cut out slot for speedo cable
#4 take your old headlight side holders do some measuring .
#5 clamp holders in position onto the plate do some tack welds
#6 remove the headlamp housing /then finish welding the side holders
#7 grind the crappy welds (Harbor Frieght cracker box welder )
#8 make a bracket to attach to the Express handlebar
#9 slap some paint on it and your good to go ...
Also like I said before I made the plate bigger so I can add switches or cig lighter down the road ...

Hey Thanks for the thumbs up well took it for a ride ...
And guess what ? surprise surprise I have a leaky petcock
and the headlight mount is a little off so a bend here and a bend there
should be OK ...I Hate Leaky Petcocks ....
I knew I should have bought more of the china ones for spares .
Oh 1 more problem the front break cable is bad as it has become very hard to move inside the
cable cover ... you think it's easy to get a replacement ...Think again ...
it takes the NC50 Express or PA50 hobbit cable w/ spring ...they are easy to find in U.K.
for $12.00 but another $15.00 for shipping kinda sucks ....
Anyone know where to get these cables in USA ?
I have googled the $hit out of this so let me know if you have a super secret special place for front brake cables ?

Hey 66Six!
For the TG50, I've been using the easy to get Elite SA50 front cable from '94 up. Takes just a bit of grinding on the ferrule to get it to fit. It's about 2" longer, but dresses out ok on a stock TG50. Can't say for sure what's best for your customs. I've been trying to get folks to report into our cable database for the very reason of customs. Help your creative brothers like 66Six out - please measure and post cable dimensions!

BTW - Great pic of you and your new custom

Thanks Mousewheels but it is no longer a TG50 it's a NC50 Express front end & brake...
Very different .....
I have tried so many places to find this stupid cable and have designed a cable stretcher
luber and puller ...and do-dad which is not working out very well ...
As for a thing-ma-jig it's perfect but freeing up cables nope ...

I mounted a brake lever to a bar hooked the other end to two 25pound sandbags..
sprayed the $hit out of the ends with every type of lubricant I have even tried graphite ...
I work the brake lever like a pump it got a little looser then I used a pipe over the lever to get more
leverage the 50 pounds do go up and down but still no cigar ...
I'm thinking is a front brake really that useful ?
Just one more thing to fix .....

Oh buy the way I did try to use the Gyro hub & brake ....not even close ...

Up-date 5/31 / 12 went to the bike junkyard and found a cable that works $5.00 bucks ...Yeaaaa ! ! !
Everythings good .....

Especially on a trike.

Has anyone tried adding weights to the tg50 front end?

I am planning on redoing my gyro during this upcoming winter. I want to paint on candy orange and have white wheels. Do you think that doing something like this would decrease the value of the scooter as apposed to restoring it and going completely original?

Six I tripple dog dare you to mod that 3 wheeler front end on your gyro. That would be too funny. I would have to take that for spin on the strip :surprise:
