Re: Does anyone else own a Honda NS 50?
Haha, I'll post pictures tomorrow at work. And sorry, no trunk lid - the trash bike has no plastics. Your tank would have to be preeetty smashed up to not hold enough gas for suches, these things sip gas and hold like 3 gallons. Now to dig out my cold-weather clothes, looks like it's going to be cold as usual

Re: Does anyone else own a Honda NS 50?
Hey dudes, long time no see!
I've got some bad freaking news... It looks like I'm not going to be able to make it to this years True Grits event.... This past week has literally kicked my *.
On Monday I had to put my beloved Shih Tzu, Mr. Fuzz, to sleep due to a terrible infection...
My son has been sick all week and out of school with a stomach virus, that I now have;
-Ang and I just learned of a death in our family...
and the "icing" on the cake is that the race-van that I borrow to transport my NS to True Grits "isn't running very well."
Just like I was telling Motormike, I wait for 1 single event all year, then this stuff happens all at once.
I keep telling myself there's always next year, when I have my rear brakes complete! -I was planning on taking a stock NS this year due to not having my rear disc conversion complete on my NS. All I am lacking is the brake hose, master cylinder and rearsets to mount the master cylinder to.
Rear brakes are an absolute necessity while riding the Grits...
So anyways, just thinking about it has got me pretty depressed.
Please, please, PLEASE take a ton of pictures for me...
I can live vicariously thru the HS.net "Shifty Fifties."
if anyone sees the NS that goes to True Grits that has a set of white wheels like mine, could someone please take pictures of how he has his rear master cylinder set up / mounted to his frame? I was looking so forward to being able to check out his setup.
Anyways, on a happier note, my NS is running extremely well. I've been doing my break in thru neighborhoods where I can keep my speed down and varied.
Here in a day or so, I am going to post a complete list of the mods I have done to my NS50F.
Talk to you guys soon... jon

Sorry for your losses Jon. Take care and keep your head up hommie
Re: Does anyone else own a Honda NS 50?
I'm not the best about taking lots and lots of pics Jon, but I promise to shoot EVERY NS50F possible, and especially the rearset/master cyl. set-ups. I'll be thinking about you. We'll rock Nashville this Spring when the DeadPeds Rally rolls around...

Re: Does anyone else own a Honda NS 50?
Arrived Friday night about 9:00 p.m. GA.time....
I wanted to be there early enough for a preview, but getting underway was delayed...
High Valley Resort, bunkhouse #4, Suches, Ga. This campground was attached to a small grass airstrip, private I assume, and the accommodations were pristine. Comfy lodge w/fireplace, Satelite TV, and the normal conveniences.I will post more about the event on the True Grits thread. The rest of this post is dedicated to z50r-ghost: enjoy these jon. We missed you. .....

Motormike;
Those are great pictures, dude! It looks like you all had an awesome time! I'm so freaking disappointed that I missed out... Shoot; I would have been in heaven! I had a lot of fun 2 years ago, despite the rain and not knowing anyone! Haha!
I saw the "Mini NS Interceptor" when I was there. I love that NS's paint scheme!
Motormike, were you able to take pictures of that one NS (with the same white NS-1 wheels I have) that I showed you pics of? Man, I really, really hope so... I've been Internet searching for a pic of that guys NS since last year, trying to figure out his rear master cyl setup.
Thanks for sharing your pics man- please keep more pics coming!! I would LOVE to see more from the 'Grits.
Later men, j

Hey Jon, I never saw any NS50F with a disc brake rear.
The red NSR escaped my notice until I started loading pics into the computer and I have only the one pic posted.
Then I realized it might have the set-up you're looking for, but it's an NSR with totally different frame.
Sorry if I missed something.
The weather was overcast and a little cool, but no rain so all was safe and fast...
After completing the loop, and then having the trophy presentation, THEN I realized what was meant by "Not a Race".
Of course, I went pretty much ALL-OUT trying to set a low ET which I will try to better next year,
provided the course is the same one.

Re: Does anyone else own a Honda NS 50?
Great stuff guys!! Thanks much Motormike and GK for posting; i loved seeing the Grits!
Lots of good stuff going on with my NS; I've done a couple small "power adders" and will soon have an incredible stopping setup on my REAR as well as my front.
I'll post pics of my progress soon- I finally got my rear brake setup figured out, and am just waiting on parts to arrive from Japan. There simply wasn't a "cost effective" way to convert an NS to rear disc. It's been an expensive area of my project to say the least!
Later guys, j
