when I was in Japan, I bought everything i could to hop up the NS. There's a really cool Vitas fork brace. As for the cylinder, I think it was a aftermarket 75cc. I know it was really weird to find that size.

Ahhh, now that I see the front of your NS, your headlight conversion is a Kitaco "Naked" kit.

Again, awesome bike man... I would buy it in a heartbeat if I would not have just dropped over a grand in mine in November... Then Xmas wiped me out...

If you would be interested in selling your fork brace, I'd buy it from you now- shoot me a PM if you are interested in selling it...

Later man, thanks for sharing pics! J

Thanks Jon,...I'm in with 12 minutes left...and not more than I wanted to pay... :thumbwink:

The East Texas bike had an owner with a story about sick relatives and needing a bus ticket to Denver.
I'm sorry, really, but the bike wasn't enough to justify all the trouble, and he was too flaky...meh

EDIT: Cover won, and only $35 shipped, the exact amount I was willing to pay as stated in previous post about a different cover.

-I just noticed that you won the cover for only $35, Motormike... That's great news!

I will finally be able to do a proper "pics" update soon, dudes.

My Xmas present is installed and ready (RS Lip's 63cc Direct Port Stage 2 bore), and my very special package from Mr. Lip's is almost here; Ive been waiting exactly 1 month for it to arrive. ( ! ) :nervous:

After seeing the beauty of Lip's port work, I chose to have Lip's build one of their special "dedicated chambers" w' SPL Type silencer, specifically for my Stage 2 bore. Since Mr. Lips did all the work on my cylinder, he knows how to build the exact spec pipe to match. As well, I ordered the dedicated RS Lip's high compression cylinder head to match. RS Lip's is one of Japan's top 2 stroke (nsr 50/80 type engine specialists) and have been around for a very long time... Their GP NSR / NS50 bikes are incredible-

Once I get everything installed; I'll take new pictures to share. I'm also excited to show you dudes my rearset setup.

Later guys, jon

Not too far from me -- my wife would kill me but what would be a good number for this rig?

Thanks in advance.
I'm more than happy to explain it to you. I'll even draw you a picture! But I can't understand it for you.

The asking price of $1,500 is tops for a bike with tank dents, IMHO.
Looks to be great shape otherwise, and 62 mph is very healthy. (unless he has a trained monkey)

Very, very nice... That's one extremely clean NS50F!
$1500 is definitely fair, for this condition.

eyooo,

New to the boards, via recommendation by Nick Swoop and recent inheritor of Will Swoop's NS. Super stoked on the back and runs reasonably well. Will put the charmo kit on it and it appears to not rev as much as it could, but as I understand, that's just the shortcoming of that kit.

anyways, real reason I'm posting is as some of you know the baffle is broken off of the pipe and crimped a little at the end to make up for lost back pressure. It's a little loud, but honestly not nearly as loud as I'd expect from a pipe without a baffle. I'd like to make a better fix for this without spending too much cash right now, I'm finishing college and wicked low on money.

As I see it, I have a few low budget options
1. weld a new correct i.d. baffle to the end cone
2. buy the cheap-o technigas nsr pipe on treats ($140) I'm assuming its junk because of the huge difference in price between other ns pipes. Anyone have any opinions on this pipe? powerband range? rpm wall? seems to have a pretty short tuned length.
3. hack and weld a Derbi GPR pipe which I know to be good quality and have ripping high rpm power bands
4 or why not center bleed it? I would assume it would have similar power band characteristics as the stocker only, maybe a little harder hitting, quieter, but higher head temps? thoughts?

thanks dudes

OK guys... I was going to hold onto my Daytona Japan 63cc big bore kit for a "spare" for when I buy another NS one of these days, but I figured I will put the word out there to see of there is any interest...

So... If anyone is interested in buying my LIKE NEW Daytona Japan complete 63cc kit for their NS, hit me up. I'm including a new gasket set- bolt on and go. This kit is designed to work well with the stock head as well. It is DRAMATICALLY better than the Kitaco kit, and the 72cc Taiwanese kit. It absolutely RIPS!! As well, the Daytona kit has OEM RELIABILITY.

-andsimpso-

I'll shoot you a response to your post ASAP man-
There are a few things you can do to wake up your kit... They are notoriously low-rpm kits

...I should be acting on this offer Jon, but the old man has just made the best buy of the decade and will be doing considerably more distance runs this year. I will need to be more frugal with fundage as this Pacific Coast will be eating up some bank account before I can fully enjoy the new twist in scootering....Start planning now for the Dead Peds rally here this April...dates TBA very soon. .... :hi:
