Thanks a TON Pat. I just ordered the flex hone from Amazon in 41mm size, i'm not in a huge rush, and if its awesome, its worth the $20 ish shipped. Also I have to order rings, head gasket, a few honda bolts, brake cable, ect.

Okay the flex hone came in, along with a spree coil/plug, used speedo cable and used brake cable. The speedo cable is free and operates well. The brake cable is a bit stiff. What is the best way to loosen that up? I've heard to submerge them in oil, wondering if there's a lube I can inject, or penetrating oil...... let me know.

Still waiting for some misc parts before I try to get it fired back up.

Do you just spray it into each end of the cable and work it back and forth?

I've used this stuff called tri-flow in the past instead of WD40 and it seems to work very well. I think it has teflon in it.

I wonder if the small red straw will fit inside the sleeve at all. I'll give it a shot and see.

Greetinga:

Cycle shops sell a kiit where you screw a fitting over the cable end and plug the can of lube into it. The lube is forced into the cable under pressue. The flow pushes gunk out the other end. The Lube product is ideal for cables doesn't dry and gum up like WD 40. See your friendly Honda dealer today

Those cable lube tools rock! 10$ well spent for mine. You can soak the cable with pub blaster with the tool then free it up then lube it with the proper lube with the tool :-)

NEAT! never heard of that

EDIT......I ordered a cable luber and some pj1 lube. Can't wait to lube up all my cables. I've got like 5 scooters, might as well make them all work tip top.

While i got you guys talking about lubricating cables, what's the best lube for the speedo cable? I saw on one youtube video the guy used white lithium grease, others said graphite oil.
