It is time to put some new shoes on my latest sb50p. Any suggestions as to size other than standard? I have kenda 313's on my other one and would like something that makes me feel a little more secure when cornering. Thanks

The tire can absolutely be run with a tube - even if it's a Tubeless design. Most of them have such a statement printed right on the sidewall; "For Tube-type rims fit a tube."

If you want to stick like glue on the road use a pirelli 90/90-10 on the rear but it will not last long, dunlop will last longer, also your front rim can be upgraded with an elite-s rim + hub, i also use tubes to cushion the ride.

pirelli 90/90-10 is great but wears out faster and yes it does fit without issues.

i was curious about the solid rubber tubeless tires, more specifically, does a set exist that will fit my 89 sb50p's ten inch wheels? the current tires are 2.50x10 and are only rated for 187lbs (i weigh about 260).

if such a tire does not exist, what is my best option for tubes?

That's 187 # Per Tire.
374 pounds plus whatever Fudge Factor the tire maker's lawyers make them subtrace.
You plus scooter = 380. Close enough, just keep pressure at sidewall Maximum and don't run it at Bonneville.

You should be able to fit 2.75x10s for a bit softer ride and probably a few pounds more payload capacity.

how bout tubes? i've heard good things of IRC heavy duty tubes. i just wanna make sure my weight combined with the scooter's weight aint gonna cause a structural failure or something haha

You won't hurt it. Stick with the 2.75 X 10. The condition of the rim is more important than the tube brand.

I'm curious about the Kenda tires, are they worth it? I found some Michelin tires for around $30 each as well, would those be better then the Kendas? All of these are 90/90-10

thanks for the confidence. so after getting the wheel off and looking all the way around the tire i found a sliver of glass embedded in it and thought that's why my tire was flat, so then i get the tire off and see that the tube (which is an IRC by the way) had been previously patched and that just came loose, so i patched that back up with the rubber cement/stick-on patch kit and it's still holdin up just fine. i don't think that glass made it past the tread in my tire. just for good measure though i rode up to the tire place on the corner and picked up a kenda tube of the same size for ten bucks
