Spree vs. Elite

Post by UWMadtown »

Right now I have a spree that tops out around 28-29mph. However, its just not fast enough to keep up with traffic around Madison. I am looking at buying a 94 elite 50cc and I was wondering if that could provide me with a better top speed without modding the * out of it.
Thanks.

Mine does 35-40 Stockish. All I did was remove the restrictor washer on my exhaust, and the restriction plate on the clutch, and bwamo, from 25 to 40! :) oh, and I de-carbonized my muffler.

Total time to remove restrictions, 2 hrs. Total time to de-carbonize muffler with a can of carb cleaner and a propane torch, about 30 minutes :)

Hey, thanks for the advice, i will remove the restrictors, if i get over 35 i don't think i will mess with the gears.
