1985 gyro s stator output

Hey guys I need some help on my gyro s I'm looking at the stator and need to find the output range that is acceptable before I go and find a new-used one to buy. thanks farmer54 (frank)

Dr_Craw has the right answer.. follow his 2nd link to get the workshop manual and then read the section 14-5. The voltage regular/rectifier is also involved and the specifications are spelled out in some detail. My rule of thumb is that if the headlight gets brighter when you rev up the engine, the alternator and rectifier are good to go.. not very exact, but that works for me.

Thanks guys I had that manual downloaded since I bought the gyro but couldn't find the numbers until you got me in the right section. I'll check it out on wed. and see if the stator is bad(I believe it is) and go from there. Farmer54
