Stiff Air box/carb connector tube
Looking for some helpful advice. I'm nearing completion of reassembly of my 84 NQ50 Spree and found out that the connector tube from the air cleaner to the carb has gotten so hard I can't get it back on the carb. Anyone have any ideas of how to soften it up even temporarily long enough to get it on the carb? Or does anyone have any ideas of where I could find a better one? Thanks for any help you can give me.

A heat gun always seem to soften things up for me.

That's a good idea. I was thinking about soaking it in hot water, but the heat gun ought to soften it up. Thanks!

Using a zip lock bag with armor all coated on the elbow, leave it set overnight. Then an electric hairdryer to really soften it up prior to install.
No doubt there will be other methods and ideas from others
