Make your own traffic light trigger

Post by GIJoeBob »

Why pay for a traffic light trigger when you can make your own for a fraction of cost of a commercially made solution?

Here is a video from Kipkay over at metacafe.com that shows you how to do it-

Next time you're in front at a stop light, look down. If you see some lines cut into the pavement about the width of a pencil, usually running in a rectagle shape right behind the white stop line, that's a signal this will work on. It's pretty obvious once you see one. You've probably seen them before. They cut a groove, lay in wire, then fill the groove above the wire with some rubbery goo.

I'll check my roads out tomorrow, there aren't many stop lights until you get into town, and my Spree runs so poorly, when I go out on the main drag I take the sidewalk ;)
