New high speed pulley add!

Post by fastgtp99 »

So I called vt cycles and they set me up with the high speed pulley for a cheap add. I installed it yesterday and to tell you the truth I am really surprised, for the 45 bucks it changed from about 34mph to approx. 41mph. I still want to replace the belt and get the bore kit and gears but that was a cheap upgrade for now.

If you run a new belt you can get a shim kit from vt cycles for about $3 put them between the boss & ramp this bottoms out the belt for more top end and as the belt wears just add one to keep your speed up, i just use a trans washer which does the same.
Can't afford speed then stay away from it!

9 to1 gears are for the stock setup, how fast do you want to go? if you get a bore kit then you will have to change everything and it will cost more money, a fully derestriced s- model will do 53 mph so you forgot to do a few things.

i had to get a bore kit, gears, jets, filter, and drill a few baffle to get that speed.

What the * do you mean by "fully derestricked"

1991--------Tomos Targa-
And a Bunch of other bikes.
