All things considering that isn't too bad, I've heard horror stories of months to not wanting to order the parts because it is for a moped. As far as some other places besides Honda I've had a customer who ordered a Benelli moped and waited over a year after paying in full for his $3000+ moped and never got it, ended up getting his money back and bought a moped from me the same day

Same here. But hopefully it's no longer than 2 weeks. When it's a few days, at least you can try to get other stuff done on your scooter. Weeks, then you're just dying to ride it.

This is why I take in the part numbers on a piece of paper and hand it to them rather than asking for a __________ for a 1984 Honda Spree. My local Honda dealer seems half decent. They gave me a free key yesterday. I guess because I came in for nothing, it was too early in the day and they hadn't got their delivery yet when I went to pickup my order.

Our Honda dealer is pretty awesome, they get our Honda parts in a week and you can give them parts description and they find it for you in no time because they have been dealing with mopeds for a long time and know what they are doing. I even bought my first Honda Elite "S" from them, South Seas Cycles.
