So there's the pictures for your viewing pleasure. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet, but fixing that is not going to be cheap.

remeber, never reuse wrist pin clips...
and dont fool your self and say that you bent them back out! LOL

yeah, i got a cylinder and piston sitting in front of my tv that is the same way.

its one of those things that when it happens, your just plain screwed.

just curious, where was the opeing of the c-clip at before this happened? :?

I don't really remember, but i'm thinking it was either straight up or straight down. I had put around 50-60 miles on it since i did the top end rebuild though.

yeah, i always reuse clips. :shock:

funny thing is, when this happen to me, they where new clips i put in it. And it didnt come out till like 300 miles since the rebuild.

And this is what happens when you don't mix enough oil with a bore kit and the top of the piston melts and blows out around the rings:

im like u dac. i reuse mine to. u just know what c-clips are bad. theres no "spring" to it. 8)

had that happen to me once, after i put my spree on ebay, last day it was up, i started it to drive it a bit, and the clip came out ( brand new one ) and so i used a aero top end to make it work.

What parts? What year?
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
