Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself... Just got a torn apart 85 Aero 50 for $150! I've been looking for a moped/scooter for a while and a few weeks ago my brother called up to say that he remembered a buddy who had been working on a scooter, but had given up repairing it. I bought it sight unseen and went down Detroit way for a weekend to pick it up and hopefully get it going. By 8pm Sat. night we had her going (would have been earlier if we knew to hold the brake to start! At least now I know when every wire in the starting circuit is!) I'm still fixing little things and tweaking it, but I'm riding it most of the time to work (7 miles) and loving it.
Lots of thanks to everyone who posts answers here. You're not only helping the person who asked, but leaving a record for those looking for help. I was searching for answers here almost every day before I joined and most of the time found the answers.
