My new 1991 Tomos.

Just rode it home in 35*f weather.

Body wise, the only flaw is its missing one of the front turning singles. Motor wise it has a problem shifting into second and staying in second. I would think it also needs a good carb cleaning, so when i have it apart ill do that too. Pedal it foreword to ride it like a bike, pedal backwards to start it. Starts up super easy, and rips off the line. Best part is its a a35 motor, meaning if i ever need parts i can not only get them. But i can get them after market.
I think ill keep it stock through the winter, and assuming i got extra cash in the spring ill build it up nice.

How many speeds?
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

2 speed auto.

with only two gears, not having second is kinda a big deal.

if that was the case it would be on the front tire, i pulled an accidental wheelie already.

ill be glad when this thing runs good, because just riding it around, when there is power there is allot of power.
