Haha I'll take that as a compliment?

Man if I found a GF who was actually into scooters I'd be set, previous ones haven't really supported my ahem ahem time consuming hobby lol

The Jog is actually the gf bike now that its back to 50cc :P

woohoo got the black SR fired up today :D

hard to pinpoint symptoms but just a handful were: plugged up muffler, crankcase loaded up with old oil, throttle slide installed backwards (i know.. that one made me chuckle  ), wrong plug, crappy marine oil

plus mass amount of dirt mud and grease everywhere, which all got cleaned degreased or replaced.

still need to rig up an airbox and borrow shroud from my red SR plus check cvt and gears, then we rollin n they hatin! 8)

How did you degrease? I got a gallon of "industrial grade" degreaser for mine, i haven't done any degreasing yet, how did yours clean up?

tore down to mostly frame in rear then sprayed entire bike with engine degreaser foam, as well as all other mucky parts like gas tank oil tank fenders plastics etc then just washed with hose set to jet spray

that worked real well on the frame and gas tank, but fender and oil tank plastics I just decided to swap with spares for time being, ahh having similar bikes is awesome :P

took before n after pics too, may upload later

Never heard of Evapo-rust. Looks like it works pretty darn good. I don't think our previous owners cared about cleaning, even a little! I see your trim around headlight is f'd up too, i'm waiting for my abs cement and abs sheets to do some fabricating and hopefully save some plastic pieces.

Evapo rust sounds a lot like naval jelly.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

Hey guys, hate to jack your thread, but it's closely related...

I'm looking at a 02 honda elite/dio, I haven't had a chance to see it in person, and before I make the drive I was wondering what I should/could look at to see if it is indeed a true honda...

The guy says 'paper work says it's a 2002 honda elite'...

I just dont wanna get my hopes up or make a 2 1/2 hour drive for no reason...

I think it may be close to that actually. Either way it did work pretty well considering I only dipped parts for a few hours. Says to leave overnight for best results, but I was anxious to ride :)
