How do I find out what year it is

Ive had it sitting on the side of my house for a long time, I finally decided to get it going. Im not sure what year it is it looks like the 86 that someone had just posted, but it has a kick starter. I guess the one in the picture has a kick stater also. it was first registered in 87

86 kicker added
87, new rear rack and rear signals, petcock cover eliminated, I believe the speedo was redesigned too.

If it is an 86 spree, the vin should be like this: JH2AF060*GS2*****
