Honda HELIX Owners???

Post by 2WF »

Anyone here owns one, or looking to get one???

I've heard and read great stories about these scooters.

My friend said in Japan the "HELIX" or "FUSION" is the most popular Maxi Scooter for modding. Cult bike status since 1986...

Did somebody yank my cord? Yes, I've got a Helix and love it. Only reason I would think of selling it is so I can buy more Elites. Check the scooter on the left in my avatar.

HELIX = FUSION (JDM name) Same bike. Never changed in design from it's intro in '86 until '09. You know a bike was made right the 1st time when, a company like Honda doesn't changed it's design for decades.

It's supposed to be the 5hit in scootering. 1st bigass-streched-lowrider-maxi scooter on the scene in Japan. It is the most popular maxi scooter from what I saw at bike shows and walking around Japan. I'd see them all decked out with big disk brake setup, A/V, led body lighting, trick colored chrome paint jobs...you name it. Maxi scooters are big in Japan.

I love the riding position and the super comfy seat. 75mph top speed. Great on gas too. Super rare in Hawaii.

Here's a very cool story http://www.ironbuttrally.com/IBR/1995.cfm?DocID=3

Does anyone have expierience w/ the Qlink CFMoto (chinese, I know) clones I've heard they come about as close as you can get in a copy, that even engine and body parts are interchangable w/ Honda. First hand feed back (not hear say) would be nice.

I saw the same Helix cruising around town 3 times this weekend. I have never seen another one. Elite mopeds and DD50s all over the place. No Yamaha JOG sightings

What are you smoking? There is no way I can be quicker than my biker babe when she takes a notion to run me down. She rules. In fact, she made me spend the last of my Summer money on another Elite SA over the weekend. She has her goal to have one for each of our children and their mates so we can have our own Lunytune Rally.

Youngest son is coming home from college this weekend, with girlfriend, so they will ride the Helix two up, and 4 of us will ride 50's. Oldest son has to work and his mate won't even get on a bicycle, much less a scooter. :?

Yes there is a JDM kit for the HELIX for a full Akira conversion. It cost $7800, haha.

Why bother with a scoot? You might as well get a Gold Wing, Dude!

It is a bolt on kit made for the HELIX. All you gotta do is paint and you'll have a bike exactly like the pic. Crazy stuff!!!
