Thanks to loads of good advice here on this forum and a lot of blood, sweat, and foul language, my elite E has gone from garage-space-occupier and running joke to 3 cubic inches of roaring (buzzing) terror.
WOOHOO! In celebration I rode my still-not-entirely-reassembled scoot down to the coffee shop at the corner and bought a coffee which I sipped while riding around neighborhood streets varying my rpm and throttle input. Drinking a coffee while riding was a strange sensation for sure, and would never be possible on my motorcycle.
Now I just need to get me some tires and I'll be able to get the sucker legal, since calling the presently installed ones old and crappy would be charitable. Pictures to follow when my girlfriend brings the damned camera home.

If my girlfriend ever learns how much I've spent on the scooter, please remember me fondly and take care for my scooter.

*wait for the next topic* "Help, burned by coffee while riding!"
In 2040 they say we're going away

I believe the E in Elite E is short for "Espresso".
