Got the OEM belt off and have run into a problem :( . When the new belt is on it rubs on the case! Is there a way i can fix this? Should i do something to the case or is there a way i can push the belt further down into the two halfs? Also, when this is solved, how do i go about putting the other end of the belt on, any tricks? I need your knowledge.

Thanks

Mike

Gotta number? Parts houses like numbers. No sense in reinventing THIS wheel if somebody has already been down that path.

installation instructions:
pull, push, pry, jiggle, tap, yank, squeeze, sigh, repeat

now, more seriosly, you should be able to get it further down in the pully, but it will take some force. honda-san never thought you'd cram that belt in there, so the pully will try to spit it back out. to install the front, remove the outer half of the pully and loop the new monster belt around and re-assemble. i don't know if i've been of any use, but without seeing it or putting my greasy hands on it, that's about all i can tell you. fight the good fight. crack a beer. that always helps.

i like to wrap the belt around the driven pulley (CLUTCH END) and pull the belt towards the front of the bike/drive pulley
you should be able to get it to split the rear pulley apart and allow you to put the belt over the drive shaft and reinstall the front pulley

hope that helped

Well... i have yet to find out. The same day i got the belt on, i got my microscopic drill bits to try to find the right jetting for the bigger bore i have. I drilled out the only jet i have only to find out i drilled it to large (i think). It tops out at 30 as where with stock jet and belt it would run 35+ only it would get very hot very quick. Soon as I get some mains to try out ill find out if i gain any top end.

i assume you have the tazland kit??? what jet size have you tried???(the stock 65??or the 95 that came w/ the kit???)
we have a 95 jet in that is too big and are pulling about 31 out of it with a open filter on the same big bore, need to bring her down a bit...

I tried the 95 with the kit and i could not get it to run. I have been running it with the 68 jet for a while now and last night i re-drilled it to ~81. That seems to be too big. With my drill set i can either run ~74 or ~79 when i get some jets in. Results wont be for a while cause i am moving back to college and it takes like a week to get jets from babbits. Anyone know of anywhere else i can get jets fast? (without paying ridiculous shipping)

Thanks

Jets.

Greetings:

I'd send you a spare but my smallest is an 85. I recommend you start with 74. It may be the one, plus it's easier to drill out than fill back in. :)

I'm curious what this belt does to a box stock spree, I haven't tried one, just predicted the dimensions.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
