more complex machine (watercooled, etc) = more complex work, more expensive running costs.

spree can be maintained with a sharp stick and a rock, and of course, the power of dreams.

If yours breaks down, you just swap in another Get engine from someone doing a swap. There are runners everywhere with under 1000 miles on them.

Currently gettin BBK'd. gotta do head at work tomorrow!
Sorry, I don't. The Spree is fast enough (30 on speedo) for the town I'm in now and all my scooter time and money has been going into the Aero.

 :surprise: :*:

Did crack just now make its way to Portland and you got some free or something? Just say no to crack, dude. Nancy Reagan thanks you in advance.
ha..ha...thanks man

Here's the problem with owning 6 Sprees...

Registration and insurance adds up...
Batteries, tires, cleaning....X6!!!
Takes up half of the garage...

I need to be talked out of this...
Simple cure; move to Washington, a scooter, or any motorcycle for that matter, does not require insurance.

Wow...thank you for that advice!
I had someone tell me that the Metros were all the same other than the never ones have a chrome muffler cover. I haven't researched anything yet.

I think 6 Sprees is a little overboard.

I would keep a couple then sell the others. First research and see what other scoots are out there. Me personally my next scoot would be something that goes at least 55 mph stock like a Zuma125, Vino 125, or Honda SH150i.

I see used metros selling for 700-1000 here in Chicago. Usually 2004-2006 models. I'd rather have an Elite.
In the barn::
2001 Honda Elite
2002 Yamaha Vino
2007 Roketa Sicily
2006 Ninja 250

Special thanks to:
Workdog & Iggysepia for parts & quick shipping.
Evilone for buying my SA50P.

Thanks for the advice everyone. My local Honda dealer will sell me 2 new Metros for $3500 out the door price. One of them is cream color with the brown seat and new locking trunk on the back....the other is the black and gray.
Both have the usual 1 year warranty.

If I buy them, I think I'll keep just 1 Spree...the orange/black one.
I'm thinking of asking $450 each for the other 5...all run excellent and look practically new...plus they all have the gloveboxes.
I suppose if someone tries to haggle me down on price, I'll keep the gloveboxes and post them for sale here on the forum.

Thanks again!

Take those and the petcock covers.

You can easily get a little over $300 for that

Thanks!
I just did it...bought 2 new Metropolitans for $3317 out the door :geekdance:
One is the gray with black
The other is red with black

I'll be riding them tommorow if the weather is good.

I think I'm going to keep only one Spree...but who knows...maybe two.

Not a vino 125.

Have not seen the red and black before. I do like the black and grey (less girly than the red and cream with flowers).
Pics???

I think I just died a little. That is 10 Sprees worth right there, for the new overpriced stuff.
