Yeah i literally used a syringe with a needle on the end of it to suck up oil and get it inside the sheath. It didn't come out the other end so then i did the same thing with industrial degreaser. No luck still. Calling and ordering a new cable from honda today :smile:

since i have successfully done this before I'll tell you how i did it

i put the red straw up along side of the cable, sprayed and used the pressure of the can to squirt oil down the hole until it came out of the other end. sometimes u have to squirt it down both ends..however, we all agree you should get a new cable because of the corrosion.

Got the new cable in and installed :smile:

Just waiting on the new tires from Honda coming in on tuesday and then after break i cant start in on the pulley mod.

Still designing that CT spacer out of one piece of aluminum, we'll see how that one turns out

Glad to hear that you've ordered a new cable! I've used a product called Dr. Slide for the very same symptoms that you've had with your cable and it has worked wonders. It was recommended to me from my friendly neighborhood Honda Powersports Dealer...
