Wow. Looks brilliant. I'm really wanting to pull off my engine and get it scrubbed down like yours there, but my main fear is getting it back on and it not running. I've learned a lot with my spree but my mechanical skills are still well below par.

Cleaned out the carb today and wow was it filthy. Tons of sediment in it from sitting for a while. Plan to get all new lines once I have some cash flow to part with. After I got done, I took it out for a couple GPS speed runs. On flat ground, I was running into the wind at 34.3, and on the way back, was running 39.6 with the wind at my back. So I take 37mph to be a rough estimate as to top stock speed.

No scrubbing just 20 minutes of blasting. Mine was torn down to the bare block and media blasted with black magnum, solvent in a parts cleaner did next to nothing getting the stains off it.

Well, went for a spin on it today to enjoy the 61┬░ weather and did AWESOME in town, but wouldn't you know it, as soon as I got two miles outside of town, my valve stem on the rear wheel decided to break. Long walk back.

Here is a picture of the last big hill before I made it back.

Running into the problem of my scoot lugging on take off. I always let it warm up before I ride but when I take off after idling a while it acts like its going to bring the front wheel IFC the ground. Then it just stops and slowly takes off until I have reached 20+ speeds for 20-30+ seconds. Them if I slow down and repeat takeoff, it accelerates without flaw. Any potential diagnosis?

Just rolled over to 1k miles this weekend. Not twenty miles later, I had something cause a slow leak then my tire came off the rim and ended up having to buy another new tube and tire.

I have this same year bike and everything. This scoot is insane town. Throw on a keli variator and get some 9.8 gears for it. Also a ramp plate helps with the tiny amount of lag from the keli.
The gears and variator make this bike fly so f'in fast it will make you cry in your sleep because honda stopped making them.

Got my new gears (9.8s) into the bike finally today and was overall pleased with performance. I can no longer do wheelies but my top end increased to a gps verifies 49.8 held for 13 seconds on a flat stretch with a small crosswind. Not bad for a stock bore. Achieved one mph/cc. :D

I was and am rather pleased. If I upjet and put on a Uni filter, can I look for any more gain? Also, what is a good pipe for a stock bore but still can be used with bbks as well?
