Take some different sand paper grades to it and clean it up a bit. If it looks really thin replace it.

the pitting is at the top edge of piston only, on the exhaust port side. Thanks again. :thumbwink:

I rented a honing tool and did about four or five passes. Use wd-40 :thumbwink:

I used Dawn dishwashing liquid and small brush to get all the dirt out.

Surprise no damage to the piston after hitting 450 degrees. It came out clean the oil was baked on the top.
That mark in the center is the wire brush wheel I used. it worked good. :wink:

Put it back together and used 2 head gasket to lower my compression.
hopefully no more overheating problems. I'll finish tomorrow. Too late to start it up wake up the neighbors Lol :smile:

Compression is about 135 psi. Good for daily driver.
