well i never went 100 mph yet on my ped. but that story is off, I havent got a ticket from riding yet. and i hope i never do. i been 80 plus, no nitous. on the 87 elite in the pic but no proof. on my current bike the ruckus i can do an easy 87mph. and never topped it out. but thats with a 4 stroke 232cc NA engine.

I was informed of this post by a friend. just thought i'd stop by and get it right.

Allright, if it can be done, how about a parts list, cost and availability?
I'd estimate $1k for a budget build, for 80+mph out of dio in spree frame. Availability depends on who you know and who you can trust, as far parts..
When doing your own labor, more if you are paying a shop rate.

Dio motor can go 100mph for sure.when we could drag race our scooters at the track in hawaii, the guys with NOS was hitting 101 103 trap speeds in the 1/4 mile.the bike I rode hit 91 its fastest non NOS and that was on a 96cc watercooled setup on 9to1 gears.when I took that same bike on the short course roadrace track,it had to have been at lease 100mph because coming out of the sweeper your at 50 or 60mph already.

Torque and rpm. Tru 72 is using 8.5to1 gears on his drag bike and that's not much off from the 9to1. Keep in mind these are on small stroker and full stroker motors that's turning 11k plus rpms

Only a elite few of tunners port and tune their stroker and small strokers to rev that high.if your in hawaii which I assume you are. Are accustomed to the "do as the romans do " syndrome so everyone copies each other on their setups. That's why your skeptical on the speed with the gears being used. The problem with a lot of the guys in hawaii is that they over gear their bikes for one and most if not all of them don't know what they are doing tunning wise.that's why a lot of them blow up or can't get their bikes to go faster than 75 or 80mph.they my claim they go like 85 or faster but no real proof and when they get called out to race or do show up,they get beat by a 75 bike or they blow up. Or they don't show up. 100mph can be attand and seen it and rode a bike that go that speed with 9to1 gears or 8.5to1 gears.

Greetings:

I'll do the math later, but my instinct is that to run The Ton on 8.5s, the engines must mathematically gin up to 15,000. I have no reason to believe that such RPM is impossible for a full-race LC engine, and so I believe your claim. Such a Beasy probably wouldn't be much fun during rush hour on Hwy. 413, though. :)

A motor built to go that fast is not street riding friendly.it doesn't like idling at stops long and 1/4 to 3/4 throttle use.plus we used a 33mm keihin pwk carb and it sucks a lot of gas.
