Re: Checkin in, first post... here at least
pulled the engine last night. if any of you are having a hard time with that rear wheel / axel nut. I used PB Blaster (anti-sieze spray) a big * crescent wrench and I got a 2 foot piece of scrap pipe from home depot (it was like 4 bucks) for the extra leverage
at first I thought I stripped the bolt for sure but it actually broke loose no prob. The thing that gave me a harder time was taking off the rear adjustment screw for the rear brake. What a pain in the...

Re: Checkin in, first post... here at least
back to the drawing board. I crushed the throttle top to the stock carb today (I'm just that strong)
in better news, bought a keli clutch from daywot and decided to go with a big carb setup.
couple questions, any suggestions what carb, intake, and air filter I should use? kona uses a 28mm oko with his 72cc malossi setup seems to be working ok for him. what do you guys think? also, I have this split throttle cable now, will this mate up with a new carb? will I be able to use my oil pump still or do I need to convert to premix?

I would go with a 24mm or 21mm oko carb and a UNI pod filter.
CT manifold with 6 pedal reeds
Ditch the oil pump all together and run premix. plugs are $10 at vt cycles.
you can get deals on ebay for 150. (125 plus 25 shipping)
that includes throttle cable, carb, ct mani, k&n style air filter, and reeds.
Maybe Tobbogan can price match this deal

Greetings:
There is also a 26mm OKO. Limp here can provide an affordable source. 21 might be enough for a low-rev pipe, but 24-up if you plan a screamer.

Re: Checkin in, first post... here at least
That is exactly the ebay deal I was talking about.
Autotech355 is a good ebay seller too.
The k&n style filter that comes with those kits is not great. I would still buy a 2" UNI.
Check with toboggan to see if he will price match that deal for you.

Re: Checkin in, first post... here at least
52mm? I thought you were doing 72cc.
52mm bore would probably not be super reliable.
This is a picture of a 50mm bore vs stock see how thin the cylinder walls are.
Has anyone had luck with a 52mm daily driver?

Re: Checkin in, first post... here at least
Yups I rather u match port the block for better perfomance and less chance ofbreaking tthe bore to fast but I wouldn't want to buy that molossi bore if I were u id rather go with a corsa no need port nothing and its really powerful trust me and u don't need to remove the pipe n back rim to change gears unless its a dd50 block and u will need to press the gears together first before u could throw dem on
Re: Checkin in, first post... here at least
It doesn't matter about the walls aslong as tuned right n yes the 50 mm bore is I think a 80cc or and 82cc oh and it depends if its a 52mm stroker or a 52mm non stroker and also its reliable get choke guys down here in oahu that has bores dat size and they pump like 60mph and more

I'm basically going to run the exact same setup as toboggan, he has no issues with it. those walls are thin though.Trafficjamz wrote:52mm? I thought you were doing 72cc.
