Those carriers are made for holding 2 children, up to 50lbs (I checked it out at wal-mart tonight). Thats 100lbs of cargo. That is quite a bit of cargo. A complete spree engine I have, including the transmission, I weight at about 20lbs.

What would be heavy is to haul gasoline.

So, here's a thought I randomly had. I think that any of us really interested in this should do a warmup ride or two with at least a couple of other people from our area to get used to the long distance idea and to get used to travelling with another scooter rider. Anyone in GR wanna ride out to Holland and back this coming weekend? The weather's supposed to be good, if a little on the cool side (60s) with Saturday being the warmest of the days. Give me a holler via PM or something.

Noone else on here seems to be from Milwaukee, Wi, so I guess I will be riding by myself until i meet up with all ya's next summer.

But, I routinely do 100+ mile rides. I do it during summer on nice evenings. Great way to unwind. Beer in my cup holder and a hand on the croch scraching I cruze down the road ^_^
