Heres my '86 Honda NB50 Aero, Ill give a little info about it first;
Ok so I bought this Scooter in June of this past year, I needed to replace my
'97 DIO SR50 I had since I was 14, that was stolen a year ago. I got it after browsing the
local online classified in the morning. I saw the ad for my aero, called the guy and told
him I was coming by when he was off work. Well, I went by later that evening to check
it out. It was actually his wifes, he had a BWS/Zuma, and it sat....
Original 2052kms, Last registered in '01, body condition is 8.5/10 - There are some scratches on
the trunk side, and the front cover has 2 clips broken at the bottom but it SHINES. Also, it
starts in 1 kick. So I had cash on me, paid alot less then the asking price and drove home
with a rad new scooter and some spare parts. Engine area was amazing for an old scooter.
Heres some pictures:
The 1st and 2nd Pic are from when I got it, I think 3rd pic I have my clutch springs, rollers and some other stuff too.
When I rode to school, I always parked next to a group of ruckus', and would pull wheelies everytime I left, 2-stroke baby
As of NOW: My scooter is in parts mostly, it has a Koso Tach (love it), Im working on installing my Malossi
47mm KIT and Variatior, and 90/90 rear tire. Im probably gonna get the gears and a pipe (maybe malossi Lion) and
a taller shock later when its getting close to spring. Thats about it for performance parts, For cosmetic/appearance
im going to repaint my rims, put on the red taillight from euro 85-88 VISION-X (replaces black dummy lens) and maybe
a CHT. It came with Glass Mirrors too, but one cracked so I put the stock ones back on but glass were alot nicer...
I brought it inside to work on it, and it now has 6100kms, not bad.
Its been called many names; "The Aero" and "Red-Baron" by me, and "Ricer", "Hog" and "Moped" by others.
Enjoy
