I think we talked about extra braking for the spree. It is called a rope and a cynder block tied to the rear rack.. hehe
To be honest I have not looked at any braking options. I am not sure what the solution will be for extra braking. Disk would be just out of the cost range of the usuall spree rider.
The heads will have to be milled just like the 44mm kit. I cannot afford to make molds for the head also. But a 48mm kit for the spree plus the gear ratio I offer will be killer. The spree just with those two items alone will make the spree hit 45 to 50mph. That is why I got the gears made before the 48mm kit.
The variater will use the same belt and clutch setup.

Will this work for the SB-50 too? I don't recall if the crankshaft dimensions are the same.

this kinda makes me want to buy a spree, just for the fun of tinkering, and making a little scoot like that fly!

Heck Yeah! :coolcruise:

Count me in for all of the above VARI, GEARS, and 48mm BBK.

Actually I could use some gears now, do you still have any spree gears.

hail & greetings!
I've been peeking at this site for a month now, since I got my first scooter, and now I'm seeking to make it faster so I may as well join the site. :)
I own an `87 Elite SE50P, and have found the info I needed here to get it running, so thanks to you all for that. I have seemingly contracted some kind of disorder of sorts from having worked on, and ridden the cool little bike for over a month now. I bought another scooter as soon as I heard my co-worker had one in his shed, and I did it without even looking at it because I wanted another one so bad!
I scored good though. It's an `85 Spree NQ50, but had a broken crankcase, but Ebay helped me there for $20. I got the old broken case swapped out, but when I was attempting to reinstall the piston...I broke the d*** rings! :newb:
I've got some new ones ordered from Honda, but I was hoping someone here could point me in the proper direction for a list of performance parts readily available, so I can start grabbing a part every paycheck until I've got all I can use on the Spree.
Taz, seems like you are the man with the goods here. Where do I start?
Thanks in advance, & sorry about the wall of text, lol.

but if you want a disc system, you can use the old rotors I pulled off my truck. They are cheap, I think scrap prices are about $.03/pound now.
