Bought yet ANOTHER one today

Post by bradmeehan »

Dear Craigslist:

I love you

Love,
Spree addict

Bought another non-runner today for $100. Got another 85 with mismatch plastics. He said it ran before but there is NO FREAKIN way it ran with no air screw, no air box lid and tube, and the carb gasket upside down.

Bonus: it came with the rare floormat.

I'm taking suggestions on paint color ideas for this one. Sorry, not pink, Wheelman.

Anyone got a lid and tube on the cheap?

I second pink? (Even though wheelman never officially said it...)
if real men wear pink, what does it say about a man that rides a pink scoot?

there are 2 paint jobs i've wanted to see on a spree.

1992 x-men blue and yellow combo(maybe throw in some X logo's for good measure)

or
"sunburst" like on guitars

you know what would be really cool? faux-wood..i know they make shelf liner like what i'm thinking, but if you could paint wood grain across the whole bike...it would look amazing.(edit: i just did some research, apparently someone had this idea for a vespa already...doesnt mean it wouldnt be cool though)http://www.greenlaunches.com/transport/ ... iendly.php

I got your boot and lid. I'll do $15 shipped on both if that sounds fair to you. Thanks!

That sunburst would look sweet on the side. I love that dark red around the edges. And the white pick-ups show how white lettering would pop out. May have a winner. Not bad for non-valuable input.

Wikked: sounds fair. I'll hit you up today on pm. See if you can dig up the clamp that attaches to the hose.

Sounds good. I can check my stash but I don't think I got one. Hose clamps from the various stores work just as good, zip ties do too as long as you get the expensive ones with metal tabs inside, you can pull em tight with pliers and they won't let loose.

If you do want to swap out the panels, I am very interested in the left side panel in white.

I wish I could find these deals around here. I keep looking, but they are few and far between.
