They are like the unicorns and the tooth fariy. I have heard stories.....but have never actually seen one
You're just not a true believer, I see one every time I look at my Spree.
I check mine most of the time when I'm at a stoplight, just to make sure it's still there.

dont think aluminium would be that great. now if some one had access to plastic injection molding thats the ticket. then you could mold them in any color even clear!!.

OK maybe petcock covers are more like four leaf clovers. They do exsist just very rare.

I don't know why it took til 1987 for honda-san to just mold it in with the rest of the side covers.

It took until then for Honda-san to figure out the petcock was reliable enough to not require an access panel. And of course they did a panel change that year too.

See that price? That's why I check for mine at most stoplights. That way, if the thing fell off, hopefully I have time to double back and look for it before a car runs it over.

i figured i'd do that eventually, even at $10 a pop, you'd still make bank considering how many people need them.

If you make them as crappy as Honda made them, you'll certainly get repeat customers too. Whoever designed the retention clip for the petcock cover should probably be demoted.

there is a thread on here somewhere about a "anti-slip petcock nut" or something.
