Honda Spree NQ50 Gaskets

Post by Chaostoy »

Hi all. Just thought I would share an idea with you, and sorry if someone else beat me to it. Anyway, I thought we should get together and post up templates of our gaskets when we have to do a rebuild. That way, people can freely grab whatever gasket template they need for their build, and just make it themselves. Considering how many gaskets and other parts are so hard or impossible to find, I think this is a good idea.
Here's my contribution, and forgive how few gaskets I have so far. I am new to this scooter rebuilding thing!
Two are stock, and two are imprints I've made from my parts. Oh, I suppose I should list what these are for. This is the transmission gasket, the cylinder base gasket, intake gasket, and crankcase gasket for an 1985 Honda Spree NQ50.

I do beleive that for the head gasket not to fail it must have metal around the inside (towards the piston). I think this because I have never seen a 2 stroke head gasket that didn't.

it probably wouldnt run to well anyways considering that is a base gasket. the ports for the transfers would probably blow out anyways if it ran at all.

Er, yeah, that is not the head gasket, but the cylinder base gasket. My bad!

Yes, I thought perhaps if I included my original scan, then it could be downloaded and printed out, but it seems this is not the case? Bummer.

scan with a penny or on the scanner with the gasket. Then on printout mess with the sizeing untill a real penny matches the printed one. That might work especially with photo shop or the gimp.

I like this idea as well. Here is the only gasket I had handy at the office. An intake/reed cage gasket for my '86 Aero.

Nice! I like the ruler and the penny idea also. I need to get one of those rulers for the scans.
