Hauling Scoots

Post by RZRob »

Hey folks,

I know this subjects been covered before, but I'm looking for something I can plug into the receiver on my truck (like a platform) that might possibly allow me to haul 2 scooters (Spree & Aero). Ideally it's something made for this, but if someone has an easy and cheap solution that can handle the weight, I'm all ears.

Yeah, that was my first thought, however seems like it might be too small to hold 2 scoots. I may buy and try. HF is pretty good about returns. If anyone knows where a hoop style could be procured, or where I might by hoops that I could mount to one of these, that'd work.

Set the scoots up side by side. Now take some measurements. I would suggest the scoots face opposite ways to take up less space. The rack only needs to be wide enough to fit the wheels side by side, not the full with of both scooters. Like I indicated, I'm a trailer guy and if you already have a receiver why not use it that way. Less stress on the vehicle's rear suspension too.

check out the racks for carrying wheelchairs and the like. They are alot wider so shoud work better for carrying 2 scoots. The only thing is they might not be long enough but you can check the wheelbase to make sure they are long enough.

The coupon works for anything there is not another coupon for. So yeah , works for this stuff. When I bought my Harbor Freight trailer I had a 25% of coupon and it made my trailer cost only $160.

The paper says $169.99 but of course there is no shipping charge either. Shipping to me would be $103 which is ridiculous. But the 25% off coupon would make it $127.50 at the store.

If you read the coupon it states discount can be taken off of sale prices.

They have to take it. I used to work at HF here in Fresno. You can not combine coupons. Tell them if they dont take it you will call corporate office and file a complaint. Just saying that should fix the problem. If you need the Corp number just PM me.
